Hi, I’m James. I am a specialist digital restoration artist based in Johannesburg.
I have always had a passion for history and art, achieving top marks in Visual Arts. I realized that many families have precious memories fading away in shoeboxes—photos that tell stories but are being lost to time, mold, and damage.
My workflow is unique: I don’t just rely on automated apps that make faces look “plastic.” I use a hybrid workflow combining state-of-the-art AI technology for clarity with precise manual hand-finishing (using digital painting tools) to ensure historical accuracy.
My goal is simple: To preserve your family legacy for the next generation.
